Emotional Support During Your Pregnancy & As a New Mother

Having a baby is supposed to be — or so we’ve been told — one of the happiest and fulfilling times of our lives. However, many women struggle silently — doubting themselves, confused and ashamed of their experience. Relationships with partners may be stressed. Trauma or unanticipated problems may complicate or overshadow your experience. Hormones, fatigue, and adjustment to the changes all play a part.
• Out of every ten pregnant women, 1-2 will experience depression.
• One in eight will develop a postpartum depression or anxiety within the first year of having her child.
I will help you understand your feelings of anxiety, inadequacy, guilt, loss, or anger. I will assist you in developing your confidence as a parent, processing the difficulties, and moving forward. Together, we will make a plan that fits your needs, as you journey toward a more satisfying sense of self and an enjoyable parenting experience.
If you are thinking about hurting yourself or you baby:
“Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart….”
